Alexander Theodore Callinicos (urodzony 24 lipca 1950 roku w Rodezji) to brytyjski trockista, naukowiec oraz pisarz.
Życiorys
Urodził się 24 lipca w Rodezji Południowej (dzisiejsze Zimbabwe). Obecnie pełni funkcję profesora w Centrum Studiów Europejskich na Kings College w Londynie. Jest autorem trzydziestu książek opublikowanych w Wielkiej Brytanii oraz Stanach Zjednoczonych. Przewodzi Socialist Workers Party, która jest częścią Tendencji Międzynarodowych Socjalistów. Regularnie pisze dla czasopisma International Socialism.
Jego ojciec w czasie II wojny światowej był członkiem greckiego ruchu oporu antyfaszystowskiego. Matka, pochodząca z angielskiej arystokracji, jest wnuczką Lorda Actona.
