Alec Empire, właściwie Alexander Wilke-Steinhof (urodzony 2 maja 1972 roku w Charlottenburg, Berlin Zachodni) to niemicki muzyk i wokalista, który jest współzałożycielem oraz liderem zespołu Atari Teenage Riot, a także twórcą gatunku muzycznego znanego jako digital hardcore. W 1994 roku, razem z Joelem Amaretto i Pete’em Lawtonem, założył wytwórnię Digital Hardcore Recordings.
W wieku 12 lat stworzył swój pierwszy zespół – Die Kinder. Jako nastolatek występował w różnych zespołach punkowych, w tym czasie poznał Hanin Elias. W 1992 roku spotkał Carla Cracka, z którym oraz Elias założył Atari Teenage Riot. Z zespołem nagrał wszystkie albumy studyjne oraz wiele innych wydawnictw. W 2000 roku zespół został rozwiązany, a Empire, podobnie jak pozostali członkowie, skupił się na swoich projektach solowych. Do dziś współpracuje z Nic Endo, która dołączyła do Atari Teenage Riot w 1997 roku. Wraz z nią oraz CX KiDTRONiKiem, zespół został reaktywowany w 2010 roku.
