Alan Ayckbourn (urodzony 12 kwietnia 1939 roku w Londynie) to współczesny brytyjski komediopisarz. Jest autorem ponad 75 sztuk teatralnych. W okresie od 1972 do 2009 roku pełnił funkcję dyrektora artystycznego Stephen Joseph Theatre w Scarborough w Anglii. Ponad 40 jego dzieł miało swoje wystawienia na West Endzie, a 10 na Broadwayu.
