Aggregata

Aggregata to rodzaj apikompleksów należących do rodziny Aggregatidae.

Tryb życia

Gatunki z tego rodzaju są wewnątrzkomórkowymi pasożytami układu pokarmowego organizmów morskich, które żyją w płytkich wodach Oceanu Atlantyckiego oraz Morza Śródziemnego. Ich cykl życiowy wymaga dwóch żywicieli: żywiciela pośredniego, którym zazwyczaj jest skorupiak, oraz żywiciela ostatecznego, którym najczęściej jest głowonóg. Stadia bezpłciowe rozwijają się w żywicielu pośrednim, natomiast stadia płciowe – w ostatecznym.
